VIVA !
Lamborghini's at Lavazza Viva Italia 2007

May 28. 2008, a Monday morning, I got out of bed at 5:00 am to be able to get to Assen in time, it’s a four hour drive up to the famous TT Circuit in the northern part of the Netherlands were the yearly Viva Italia event is held.

A massive gathering of Italian made automobiles and motorcycles ranging from the smallest Fiat right up to the most expensive Ferrari or Lamborghini.

And there were a lot of Lamborghini’s present at Viva Italia, from the classic front engine GT’s up to the stunning Gallardo Spyder, the latter finished in a stunning bright green metallic shade.

Naturally there were many other Bulls present too, a couple of very nice Islero S models for starters, a bright blue one and a darker shade blueish green one. Parked next to it a bright yellow Jarama which looked like it just left the factory doors only days ago, while it was actually built back in the Seventies.

Probably the best known four seater from Sant’Agata was shown in Assen too, the successful Espada finished in a nice black lacquer, a color that suits this large V12 Lamborghini very well.

When you talk about classic Lamborghini’s you can’t get by the Miura, and a stunning yellow car drove onto the paddock area in Assen, this color clearly shows the sensual lines of this all time classic, truly an amazing car that hasn’t lost any of it’s attraction over the years.

The Lamborghini Miura is a true classic, but the Countach is a legend, and a dreamcar of an entire generation, the latter featured on many bedroom posters during the Eighties. Several of these extra terrestrial looking cars were shown during Viva Italia, among them a dark red metallic 25th Anniversary edition.

Viva Italia also saw some more recent Bulls, like the amazing bright green metallic Gallardo Spyder, a very special color on an equally special car, later this V10 was joined by an even brighter orange metallic Lamborghini Murciélago.
